Physics Analogies for Life

Power = work / time

The larger the amount of work and smaller the amount of time, the more power is exhibited.
Conversely, if you take a large amount of time to get something done, it diminishes your power!
Now, diving deeper.

Work = force x distance

Force = mass x acceleration

Acceleration = velocity / time

Velocity = change in position / time

Therefore,

Power = work / time

Power = (force x distance) / time

Power = (mass x acceleration x distance) / time

Power = (mass x (velocity / time) x distance) / time

Power = (mass x (change in position / time) x distance) / time

Power = (mass x change in position x distance) / time^2
